Our new Acratech GP Ballhead is uniquely designed to function as a ballhead a Gimbal head and as a leveling base.

This item is now in stock! Our new Acratech GP ballhead has all the benefits and features of our GV2 ballhead including the ability to function as a gimbal head and of course it still weighs less than 1 lb, but what really sets the GP apart from all our other ballheads is that it is also designed to be used upside down, allowing the ball to be used as a leveling base for stitched panoramic images. Even when using your tripod on rocky, uneven terrain the GP Ballhead allows you to pan parallel to the horizon, eliminating the need to carry a separate leveling base to create accurate panoramic images.

This ballhead includes our specially designed Quick Release Clamp, with bulls eye level, double speed rubber knob, and detention pin.

The GP ballhead is one of those things where you scratch your head and say "why didn't they think of that before?". Good show, Scott and company!

This is a truly universal, all-in-one, high-quality ballhead! It's elegance is in its simplicity, precision, and flexibility, all in one package.

Buy the nodal rail to go with it for fast and precise panoramic setups. The closest competition is much more expensive and twice as heavy.

I'll agree with Tony and Paul: Acratech products are truly exceptional and get my highest possible recommendation!

The Acratech Ball Head and camera plates are the most solid and stable ball head I have ever tested. There is no slippage at all with these camera and lens specific plates. The GV ball head is also more than 1/2 pound lighter than my other ball head.
